CRNI NOIR – ANIMATED MUSIC VIDEO
The animated music video for skureen was developed as a black-and-white noir visual, inspired by the look of classic film noir. The idea was to create a dark, cinematic atmosphere that follows the rhythm and emotion of the rap lyrics, while the visuals interpret the song's inner conflict and narrative.
The video combines different animation techniques , from keyframing to stop motion , creating a dynamic, layered portrayal of movement and rhythm. Black and white dominate the frames, while red breaks through now and then as a symbol of passion, tension and energy, adding visual contrast and marking key moments.
The video's whole visual identity is aligned with the artist's brand skureen, which is built on a dark, introspective and alternative aesthetic. Combining music and animation created an evocative audiovisual experience that carries the raw emotion, rhythm and poetic depth of the song.
